(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Basketball Super League has named KW Titans power forward Tyshon Pickett the Player of the Week for February 2nd – 8th after an outstanding performance on Saturday against the Sudbury Five.
Tyshon Pickett in Saturday’s contest against the defending champions, helped the Titans battle until the final second, edging out the Five in a thrilling 100-99 victory. Pickett delivered a standout performance, pouring in a weekend-high of 33 points while shooting an ultra-efficient 73% from the field.
To go along with the scoring touch, Pickett made his presence felt on the floor, racking up 10 rebounds, recording three steals, and rallying two assists. His all-around effort and ability to impact the game on both ends of the court played a huge role in the Titans’ crucial win, earning him the honour of BSL Player of the Week.
Pickett, in 11 games played this season, is averaging 15.3 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 1.2 assists per game, and shooting 58.7% from the field.
