(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Basketball Super League has named KW Titans shooting guard Antoine Mason the Player of the Week for the week of March 16th – 22nd after an impressive two-game weekend, propelling the Titans to first place.
Antoine Mason had a nice performance against the Sudbury Five in the first of back-to-backs on March 19th, leading the team with 21 in a 114-107 win. Shooting 37.5% from the floor, 50% from deep and a perfect six for six from the line. Mason played a solid game on both sides of the ball, recording five defensive rebounds and three assists.
He one-upped that performance the next game against the Sudbury Five to cap off the weekend. Mason finished the game with an amazing 29-points in a 118-108 victory. Leading the offensive yet again against the defending champions, shooting 52.6% from the field, and 33.3% from three. Mason gathered eight rebounds to help the KW Titans propel them to the top of the league.
Antoine Mason, in 23 games played this season, is averaging 16 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game, and shooting 43.1% from the field goal.
