St. John’s, Newfoundland – January 4, 2025 – The London Lightning showcased a remarkable performance, defeating the Newfoundland Rogues with a final score of 100 to 90 in an exciting match-up held at the Mary Brown’s Centre. This victory brings the Lightning’s record to 8-4, while the Rogues fall to 4-4 in the Basketball Super League.
The game kicked off with the Rogues taking an early lead, finishing the first quarter at 29-14. However, the Lightning responded fiercely in the second quarter, scoring 35 points compared to Newfoundland’s 17, establishing a commanding presence on the court.
Leading the charge for the Lightning was Billy White, who delivered an impressive performance with 30 points, including hitting 12 of 15 free throws. Paul Parks and Marcus Ottey also made significant contributions, scoring 22 and 20 points, respectively.
