Coach Jerry Williams will be manning the bench for one squad, an honour given to the coach of the top team in the league at the time. He’ll have some familiar faces around him, including league-leading scorer Armani Chaney who averages 29 points per game (PPG), and also leads the league with 11 assists per game. Joining them are Marquis Collins (third in the league in scoring at 23 PPG and fourth in rebounds per game with 8); and newcomer Will Brown. The centre averages 12 PPG and leads the league with 2.3 blocks per game.“I’m really excited for this, not for myself, but the recognition these guys are getting for the hard work they’re putting in” said Williams. “Being away from family, working every day to get better, to put on a show for the people of Newfoundland and Labrador. I’m very proud.”

“This is not just for us – it’s for the fans” said Chaney, who represented the Rogues at the TBL (BSL’s sister league) All Star game last year. “They’re the ones pushing us to get better every day.”

The all star event will be held in Sudbury on March 9th and will include a three point contest, a dunk contest as well as the all star game. The event can be streamed on BSL.TV
